How Do I Book a Cruise?

1.  Contact Kim with Cruise Planners and let her know when and where you want to go.  You can also use the search engine on her homepage to find a wide array of cruises.  You can search based on the length of cruise, destination, time of year, cruise line, etc.

2.  Decide what kind of accommodations best appeal to you or your family.  Inside - no view of the ocean; Oceanview - a picture window or porthole with a view of the ocean; Balcony - a verandah that allows you to enjoy the fresh ocean breezes; Suite - a much larger cabin with a balcony -- the ultimate in luxury.

3.  Once you have made a decision, a deposit is required to hold that cabin.  Deposit rates vary by ships and sailings.  Deposits are fully refundable prior to final payment being due (usually 75 days before sailing), so don't be afraid to get that deposit on the sailing you want!  Most clients book 6-12 months in advance to get the best selection of cabins AND the best rate!

4.  Once you are fully deposited, Kim will mail you a confirmation showing your travel arrangements and when your final payment is due.  She will also enclose travel insurance information, which is a very important consideration when traveling.   (All of that will be discussed ahead of time as well, of course.)

5.  Once you are paid in full, the documents arrive just a few short weeks before your trip.  Those will be provided to you with information about pre-registration.  Kim can assist you with any pre-registration needs you may have.

6.  Get ready for your cruise!  Make sure to keep all of your important travel documentation (i.e. passport, travel insurance confirmation, etc.) in a safe place.   You will need this for your trip.  Never place this items in checked luggage.   Keep them handy in your purse or in a carry-on bag.
